U.S. DEAFLYMPICS SEEKS ATHLETES FOR 2011 WINTER DEAFLYMPICS

Alpine skiers, snowboarders, Nordic skiers, ice hockey and curling athletes needed

The U.S. Deaflympics Committee is seeking deaf and hard of hearing athletes to represent the United States at the 2011 Winter Deaflympics.

Buoyed by the success at the recent Summer Deaflympics in Taipei, Taiwan, the USA Deaf Sports Federation is going full speed with tryouts for the Deaflympics team that will represent the United States in High Tatras, Slovakia at the 17th Winter Deaflympics in February, 2011.

Deaf and hard of hearing athletes specializing in alpine skiing, alpine snowboarding, freestyle snowboarding, Nordic skiing, ice hockey, and curling are strongly encouraged to contact the 2011 U.S. Team Director, Jeff Lewis at jwlewis@usdeafsports.org for information regarding tryouts.

Tryouts will take place in the winter months of 2010.
